A small consultancy with a narrow, useful remit.
We help Malaysian businesses write down what their teams already know how to do.
Back to HomeHow anvilcrs came about
anvilcrs started from a straightforward observation: many small and growing businesses in Malaysia carry large amounts of operational knowledge inside the heads of two or three people. When one of those people takes leave, moves on, or simply gets too busy to be available, the work stalls. Not because the business lacks talent, but because nothing was ever written down in a form others could follow.
We set up anvilcrs in Petaling Jaya to work on that gap directly. Our work is practical and narrow: we sit with the people who run your processes, capture what they actually do, and produce readable documents — SOPs, playbooks, handover packs — that your team can use and maintain without our involvement.
We focus on B2B advisory and documentation work. We don't operate in regulated advisory areas and we don't produce compliance documents or licensed professional deliverables — we produce operational reference materials that your own qualified people can act on.
We write for the person holding the task
Good operational documents are not written for management to file. They are written for the person who will next run this task — probably under time pressure, possibly for the first time. That framing changes everything about how we structure, word, and format the output.
- Short, referenced sections over long narrative prose
- Decision points made visible, not buried
- Ownership and tools named explicitly
- Formatted to be edited, not preserved as-is

How we work
Confidentiality by default
Client operational information is treated as confidential. NDAs are available on request. We do not reference client processes in public material.
Fixed scope per engagement
Each engagement covers one clearly defined task or scenario. Scope is agreed in writing before work begins, with a documented review and sign-off process.
Structured review rounds
Drafts are shared with the relevant internal owner before finalisation. Feedback is incorporated through a defined review round — not open-ended revision cycles.
Data minimisation
We collect only the process information needed to write the engagement deliverable. Session notes and interview records are not retained beyond the project period.
Clear professional boundary
We provide operational documentation and B2B advisory services. We do not offer regulated financial, legal, medical, or compliance advice — and we say so clearly.
Written engagement agreements
Every engagement begins with a written agreement covering scope, deliverables, timeline, payment terms, and any confidentiality requirements from the client's side.
Operational documentation for businesses that rely on people
Most business processes in smaller Malaysian companies run well because specific people carry the knowledge required to run them. That works until it doesn't — until someone is unavailable, moves on, or gets promoted out of the role. At that point, the absence of written reference material becomes a real operational problem.
anvilcrs's work sits at that intersection. We don't build new processes or advise on strategy. We document what already works — capturing how the task is currently run, by whom, using what tools and inputs, and where the decisions happen — and we produce a document that lets someone else do it without needing to ask the same questions repeatedly.
Our consultants have worked across industries including professional services, retail distribution, education administration, and small manufacturing. Each sector has its own documentation culture and vocabulary. We adapt to yours rather than imposing a generic template.
anvilcrs is based in Petaling Jaya and works with clients across the Klang Valley and, via video, throughout Peninsular Malaysia. All fees are quoted and invoiced in Malaysian Ringgit. Engagements are scoped individually — there are no packages sold sight unseen.
